The Panthers have looked back to somewhere near their best in recent weeks, winning five of their last ten, and claiming victories in each of their last two games.
However, the Avalanche have been the standout team in the NHL so far this season, as they sit top of the Western Conference. But, they will be aiming to respond following a defeat in their latest outing.
The Colorado Avalanche have enjoyed a dominant start to the season, and they already hold an advantage at the top of the Western Conference.
Colorado have gone an impressive 21-2-7 in the NHL this season, with no team having accumulated a better win rate or attacking record.
The Avalanche have also won seven of their last ten. But, a response will be expected on Thursday following a shootout loss on the road against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday evening.

The Florida Panthers have endured a mixed start to the 2025-26 season. The reigning Stanley Cup champions sit down in sixth in the Atlantic Division, having gone 14-12-2 so far this term.
However, their form has shown signs of picking up in recent weeks, winning five of their last ten, and claiming victories in each of their previous two.
Florida were last in action beating the New York Islanders 4-1, but they will play against the Utah Mammoth on Wednesday before a clash with the Avalanche on Thursday.
