Two out-of-form teams will collide in the NHL on Nov 19, as the Washington Capitals host the Edmonton Oilers.
The Capitals will be chasing rare back-to-back wins in the NHL after a battling performance on Monday evening. However, they are still in poor overall form after going 3-5-2 across their last ten.
The Edmonton Oilers will also have a point to prove this week after losing their latest game. However, they have registered four victories across their last ten.
The Washington Capitals have endured a struggling start to the new NHL season. So far this term, they have gone 9-8-2, and they sit at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division.
The Caps have underperformed in their last ten games, winning just three times, and suffering five losses in regulation.
However, they do come into this midweek clash in winning form following a battling 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.
It has been a mixed start to the new season for the Edmonton Oilers.
They have gone 9-8-4 across their opening 21 matches, and their inconsistency is also reflected based on their last ten, winning on just four occasions.
One of their biggest issues has been their defensive record, as they have already shipped 75 goals, which is the second-most of any team in the Pacific Division. Their latest loss was suffered in Buffalo on Monday after losing 5-1 on the road.
