Meanwhile, the Oilers have gone 5-3-2 over their last ten, and currently sit fourth in the Pacific Division. The visitors will be chasing successive wins in the NHL this weekend.
The Montreal Canadiens are enjoying a progressive campaign to this point, and they could climb in the Atlantic Division standings this weekend.
They have won six of their last ten to improve their overall record to 16-11-3 in the NHL this term. However, it would be a concern that they have allowed 107 goals, which is the third-most in the Atlantic Division.
Montreal were 4-2 winners in their latest fixture, beating the Pittsburgh Penguins. Alexandre Texier was among the scorers in that win.

The Edmonton Oilers come into this clash with a very similar profile to their opponents.
They have won five of their last ten, and they currently sit fourth in the Pacific Division. Like the Habs, the Oilers have struggled defensively this term, shipping a staggering 107 goals.
Only the Vancouver Canucks have allowed more goals so far this season. Edmonton were 4-1 winners in their latest outing against the Detroit Red Wings, with Zach Hyman scoring an excellent hat-trick.
