Tampa currently sits second in the Atlantic Division after winning six of their last ten games in the NHL. A victory on Saturday could send them to the top of the division standings.
Meanwhile, the Islanders will also have their sights on top spot, as they are two points adrift of the Capitals in the Metropolitan Division after winning five of their previous ten.
The New York Islanders have enjoyed a reliable season to this point, but many of their issues have come at the UBS Arena.
The team have gone 7-6-2 in home games, meaning that they have recorded fewer wins and more regulation defeats than they have on the road. However, they have won five of their last ten, which includes a victory earlier this week against the Vegas Golden Knights.
But, they will face a busy end to the week with a clash against the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday before this home game with the Lightning.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are enjoying a solid 2025-26 campaign, and they currently sit second in the Atlantic Division standings.
They have won six of their last ten, with no side in the division having recorded more wins over the same period. Meanwhile, the Lightning boast the best defensive record in the Atlantic Division, having allowed just 76 goals this term.
Tampa recorded a dominant 6-1 win earlier this week against the Montreal Canadiens, with Darren Raddysh scoring twice.
