The Stars still sit in a high position in the Central Division, with only the Colorado Avalanche having accumulated a better record to this point. However, they will be aiming to get back on track on Monday following defeats in each of their last two.
Meanwhile, the Kings have also suffered defeats in their previous two games. They remain third in the Pacific Division, but have gone 5-5-0 across their last ten in the NHL.

The Dallas Stars have enjoyed a solid start to the NHL season, but they will have questions to answer this week after losing each of their last two.
Despite that, they have gone 7-2-1 across their last ten, with no side in the Western Conference having won more games over the same period. Dallas were well beaten in their latest outing, as they were hammered at home by the Florida Panthers over the weekend.
Offensively, they struggled in that clash, recording under ten shots against their Eastern Conference rivals.

The LA Kings will also have pressure on their shoulders this week, following a run of successive defeats.
Their overall form also means that they have questions to answer on Monday, as they have gone 4-2-4 over their last ten games. However, they still boast one of the best defensive records in the Western Conference at this stage of the season.
Their most recent defeat was suffered on home ice against the Calgary Flames. But, they have been impressive on the road this season, going 10-2-5 on their travels.
