The Hurricanes will have pressure on their shoulders this week, as they bid to end a two-game losing sequence. Despite that patchy run, Carolina remain top of the Metropolitan Division.
The Winnipeg Jets will also be hoping for a change in their fortunes after losing each of their last three. However, the odds will be stacked against them in Carolina.
The Carolina Hurricanes continue to sit top of the Metropolitan Division, but a return to form will be required on Friday.
They have suffered defeats in each of their last two games, which includes a setback at the hands of the New York Rangers on Wednesday.
But, the Canes have caught the eye in home matches, going 6-2-1. Meanwhile, Seth Jarvis leads the team in terms of goals scored (11).

Winnipeg will have questions to answer this weekend, having suffered defeats in each of their last three.
Their most recent loss came in the form of a 4-3 defeat in Washington. It is also a concern that the Jets have suffered defeats in seven of their last ten.
Despite stuttering for form throughout the season, the Jets have accumulated a decent enough record on the road, going 6-5-0.
