Meanwhile, the Islanders have been consistent throughout the campaign, and that sees them come into this busy weekend of action sitting third in the Division.
The Columbus Blue Jackets will have the home ice advantage this weekend, as they go in search of a second straight win.
Columbus produced one of their best recent displays last time out after beating the LA Kings 3-1 on the road.
They made a quick start after scoring twice in the opening period, before making sure of the win with a goal in the final frame. Their home form this season reads 7-6-3.
