The 2025-26 season has been a struggle for the Penguins, and that is reflected by their position in the Metropolitan Division.
No side have picked up fewer wins than the Penguins in the division this season, while only the Blue Jackets have conceded more goals. But, the Penguins were at their offensive best last time out, landing a 7-3 success at the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Carolina Hurricanes have quickly emerged as one of the leading playoff hopes in the Eastern Conference.
They have gone 24-11-3 in the competition this season, and they hold a five-point advantage at the top of the Metropolitan Division. No side in the division have scored more goals, while only the Islanders and Flyers have conceded fewer goals.
The Canes have won seven of their last ten games, which includes wins in each of their last two. Last time out, they landed a 3-2 overtime success against the New York Rangers.
