It has been a faultless start to the new campaign for the Hurricanes, winning each of their opening three games to sit top of the Metropolitan Division.

The Anaheim Ducks could be an interesting playoff contender in the NHL this season.
They have gone 2-1-0 across the opening seven days of the new season. Meanwhile, they maintained their winning sequence in their latest outing after overcoming the Pittsburgh Penguins in a thriller.
There was nothing to separate the sides across the opening two periods, before the Ducks netted the winner in the final frame. Chris Kreider scored twice in the win for Anaheim.
It has been a foot-perfect start to the new NHL season for the Carolina Hurricanes.
They have recorded victories in each of their opening three games to sit top of the Metropolitan Division standings. Their excellent run of results continued on Tuesday after registering a 5-1 win on the road against the San Jose Sharks.
Eric Robinson, Jackson Blake, and Sean Walker scored in the win. Meanwhile, Brandon Bussi made 16 saves in the Hurricanes' goal.
