The Boston Bruins have enjoyed an excellent start to the NHL season. They have won 12 of their opening 20 games, and they are currently the highest-scoring team in the Eastern Conference.
The Bruins bounced back from a shock defeat in their latest outing after overcoming the Montreal Canadiens.
David Pastrnak ended the night with two assists, while Mason Lohrei and Viktor Arvidsson both scored goals in the win.
The Carolina Hurricanes have also been competitive at the start of the Eastern Conference season.
Carolina sit second in the Metropolitan Division, and they have gone 12-5-1 across their opening 18. However, they have encountered a loss of form in recent outings, which includes a recent loss against the Edmonton Oilers.
Despite catching the eye offensively, the Hurricanes conceded the game-clinching goal in the overtime period. Eric Robinson and Jordan Staal scored in the loss.
