San Jose should bring confidence into this clash after winning each of their last two games. That has seen them improve on their positive record in 2025-26, and they currently sit fifth in the Pacific Division.
Meanwhile, the Flames continue to sit toward the bottom of the Pacific Division, but no side have won more regularly in the division over the last ten.

It has been a productive period in the NHL for the Sharks, winning each of their last two to go 5-5-0 across their last ten. However, they continue to have one of the worst defensive records in the Pacific Division.
The Sharks have scored 2.88 goals per game, which ranks as the 21st best in the NHL, while they have allowed a mighty 3.30 per game.
But, the Sharks showed their character in their latest game, as they beat in the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-5 in overtime. Tyler Toffoli was the standout player, scoring twice and registering two assists.

The Calgary Flames continue to sit toward the bottom of the Western Conference standings, but no side in the Pacific Division have recorded more wins over their last ten games.
Calgary have gone 6-3-1 across that period, which includes a recent success against the Kings in overtime. Blake Coleman and Morgan Frost scored the goals in the win.
However, their road record does leave a lot to be desired. They have gone 6-11-2 on their travels this season. Matt Coronato is the team’s leading scorer, having netted nine efforts.

Calgary’s inconsistent record on the road this season makes it challenging to side with them. Therefore, the Sharks could be the standout play. San Jose have won 44% of their previous home games against the Flames, and their confidence should be high after winning their last two.
