Lightning Aiming to Respond
The Tampa Bay Lightning will have home ice advantage this weekend, as they chase an immediate return to form.
Despite losing their latest game, Tampa have recorded seven wins in their last ten. Only the Division-leading Boston Bruins have won more games across the same period.
However, the Lightning will need to pick themselves up following a heavy home loss against the Vancouver Canucks over the weekend. Tampa conceded five goals in the final frame in the 6-2 loss, as they threw away a 1-0 advantage.
Devils in Solid Form
The New Jersey Devils have been one of the leading teams in the Eastern Conference so far this season.
That is reflected as they sit top of the Metropolitan Division after going 13-4-1 in the NHL in 2025-26. The Devils have won six of their last ten, which includes victories in each of their previous two.
Their latest win was a dramatic shootout success against the Washington Capitals over the weekend. Luke Hughes and Arseni Gritsyuk scored goals in the opening period of that win.
