The New York Islanders will be aiming to maintain their charge up the standings when they host the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
New York have recorded wins in each of their last two games, and they have also won six of their previous ten in the NHL.
Last time out, they recorded a dramatic home win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Islanders scored twice in the final frame to snatch the win, with Matthew Schaefer scoring a brace in the success.
The Boston Bruins have responded following a slow start to the new season.
Boston come into this Tuesday's clash with the Islanders after recording wins in each of their last three. That run of form has seen them improve their record over their last ten to 4-6-0.
Boston's latest win was recorded against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, as they scored twice in the final frame. Their goals in the success were scored by Viktor Arvidsson and Casey Mittelstadt.
