Lightning Chasing Successive Wins

There will be pressure on the Lightning this week, as they go in search of a second straight win to put pressure on the teams at the top of the Atlantic Division standings.

Tampa’s overall form across their last ten has been disappointing, winning just three times and suffering six losses in regulation.

However, they were offensively strong in their latest clash, scoring three goals in each of the second and third periods. Jake Guentzel ended the night with two goals.

Blues Charging Up Standings

The St. Louis Blues bring the better recent form into this clash after winning five of their last ten to improve their overall record this season to 14-15-8.

Despite this, they still have the worst defensive record in the Central Division, having allowed 127 goals so far this season. But, they gained confidence over the weekend after an excellent 6-2 win over the Florida Panthers.

Three of their goals were scored in the final period, with both Jake Neighbours and Robert Thomas ending the night with two goals apiece.
