The Islanders have been in solid form at the start of the season, and they already look to be among the leading playoff hopes in the Eastern Conference.
It has been a contrasting start for the Blues, who sit toward the bottom of the Western Conference. But, can they get back on track this weekend?
The NY Islanders will be very challenging to oppose based on their overall form this season.
They come into this weekend after going 11-7-2 in the Eastern Conference, which sees them currently sitting fourth in the Metropolitan Division standings.
Their consistent form has continued across their last ten, winning on seven occasions, and suffering just two losses in regulation. Earlier this week, the Islanders landed a 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars.
There will be plenty to prove for the St. Louis Blues this weekend. They come into this round sitting second-bottom in the Central Division, and they have won just six times in 20 outings in 2025-26.
Meanwhile, the Blues have gone 3-3-4 across their last ten. Furthermore, the Blues have suffered three straight losses.
A big reason for their struggles has been their poor defensive record, with no team in the Central Division having conceded more so far this term.
