There will be pressure on the hosts at PNC Arena on Tuesday, as the Hurricanes look for an immediate response following a defeat in their latest outing.
Despite that loss, the Canes have won five of their last ten in the NHL, and only the Washington Capitals have accumulated more goals in the Metropolitan Division.
Carolina will need to put a recent disappointment behind them on Tuesday after they were well beaten at home by the San Jose Sharks over the weekend. Jordan Staal scored the only goal in the 4-1 loss.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will likely have less pressure on their shoulders this week, as they will be the outsiders in the betting. Columbus sit bottom of the Metropolitan Division, having gone 3-3-4 across their last ten.
Meanwhile, their overall record this season reads 13-10-6. The Blue Jackets also come into this road game after suffering defeats in each of their last two.
Their most recent defeat was suffered in Washington, as they were easily beaten 2-0 by the Capitals.
