It has been an encouraging start to the season for the Blue Jackets, as they have gone 6-4-0 across their last ten. However, they will be aiming to respond following a defeat on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames have endured a miserable start to the campaign. But, they will be chasing rare back-to-back wins in the NHL this week.

The Calgary Flames remain bottom of the Pacific Division standings after going 3-9-2 across their opening ten games this season.
They have already scored the fewest goals of any team in the division. However, positives would have been taken from their recent win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
It was a much better offensive display by the Flames. Jonathan Huberdeau was the standout performer, netting both goals in the road success.
The Columbus Blue Jackets would have taken plenty of positives from their start to the season, and they could yet be considered one of the leading playoff hopes in the Eastern Conference.
They have gone 7-5-0 in the NHL this season, winning six of their last ten. However, a return will be required on Wednesday following a defeat in their latest outing against the New York Islanders.
The Blue Jackets conceded twice in the final frame on the road to suffer a loss. Denton Mateychuk and Miles Wood scored the goals in the loss.
