Blues Hoping to Maintain Reliable Start
A lot of confidence would have been taken by Jim Montgomery and his team following a reliable start to the new NHL season.
The St. Louis Blues have won two of their opening three games at the start of the campaign, and their offense flourished last time out after scoring five times in a win against the Vancouver Canucks.
Jimmy Snuggerud was in inspired form for the Blues, netting twice from six attempts. Brayden Schenn, Jake Neighbours, and Nick Bjugstad also scored in the win.
Blackhawks Chasing Back-to-Back Wins
It had been a frustrating start to the new season for the Chicago Blackhawks before their recent home win against the Utah Mammoth.
Before that success, the Blackhawks had failed to win in their opening three games at the start of the new season. However, their ability to finish games strongly was evident on Monday after netting twice in the final frame to see off the Mammoth.
Ilya Mikheyev was the standout performer, netting twice for Chicago from just three efforts on goal.

Blackhawks vs. Blues NHL Picks
The Blackhawks sparked into life this season with an excellent effort against the Mammoth on Monday. However, they have recorded wins in just 35% of their road games against the St. Louis Blues.
Therefore, it could be worth siding with the in-form hosts to maintain their reliable start to the new season on Wednesday.
