Meanwhile, they come into this home clash following wins in each of their previous two.
The Rangers produced an excellent offensive display in their latest outing, as they recorded a 4-2 win on the road against the Ottawa Senators. However, it would be a major concern that they have gone 3-8-1 at Madison Square Garden so far this season.

The Colorado Avalanche will be on a recovery mission this weekend following a rare defeat in regulation time in their latest outing.
Colorado remain at the top of the Central Division, and they hold a three-point advantage over the Dallas Stars.
The Avalanche have won eight of their last ten, and no side in the Western Conference have accumulated more wins to this point. But, they were swatted aside in their previous game on the road by the NY Islanders, suffering a 6-3 loss at UBS Arena.
