  • The Steelers improved to 2-1 with a win against New England.
  • Minnesota is also 2-1 following a double-digit victory against the Bengals.
  • These teams previously squared off on Dec. 9, 2021, with the Bengals claiming a 27-24 victory.

One of the games on Sunday’s NFL slate features the Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Minnesota Vikings. Who has the edge in our Steelers vs Vikings pick?

Steelers Coming Off Rare Road Win Against New England

After dropping a 31-17 decision against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, Pittsburgh responded with a 21-14 road win against the New England Patriots last week.

Although Pittsburgh jumped out to a 14-0 lead, the Patriots rallied to tie the game at 14 in the fourth quarter. However, Aaron Rodgers connected with Calvin Austin III for the go-ahead touchdown with 2:16 left to play.

Rodgers threw for 139 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. And thanks to a defense that forced five turnovers, the Steelers won in New England for the first time since 2008.

Minnesota Aims To Build On Dominant Victory Against Cincinnati

Without Joe Burrow under center for the Bengals, this one was over early, as the Vikings were up 14-0 after the opening quarter. And Will Reichard’s 62-yard field goal gave the home team a 34-3 lead at the break en route to an easy 48-10 victory.

Backup Carson Wentz was 14 of 20 for 173 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Mason had two rushing TDs, accumulating 116 yards on 16 attempts. Isaiah Rodgers forced three of the five Cincinnati turnovers and had two defensive touchdowns.

Steelers vs Vikings NFL Pick

Following its Week 3 victory over the Pats, Pittsburgh is currently a 2.5-point underdog. Here are a few betting trends to consider for both teams ahead of this Week 4 matchup.

  • The Steelers are 2-6 straight-up (SU) in their last eight games.
  • Pittsburgh is 2-6 ATS in its previous eight outings.
  • The Vikings are 11-3 in their last 14 contests.
  • Minnesota has covered the spread six times in its previous nine matchups.

In a battle between a pair of 2-1 teams, look for Minnesota to come out on top and cover the small spread.
