The Saints and Panthers meet this week in an NFC South clash. Carolina has won four of their last five games and will aim to keep it going against the 1-8 Saints, who are winless on the road.

The Saints fell to 1-8 following their loss to the Rams, their fourth loss in a row. New Orleans has had two 4-game losing streaks, split by their sole win at home against the 2-7 Giants. It was always expected to be a long season for the rebuilding Saints, but they are still troubled to find so little positives. Only the Titans have a worse point differential than the Saints, who are hoping to find something to build on this week.

The Panthers bounced back from their blowout loss to the Bills last week in a key road win over the Packers. Their defense continues to improve, which has been the key to their recent success. Carolina also owes much of their 4-1 stretch to Rico Dowdle, who exploded for just under 600 rushing yards in his four games with more than 10 carries. However, QB Bryce Young's struggles continue to hold Carolina back.

During the Saints current losing streak, each week they have lost by a wider margin. They were defeated by 6 points in Week 6, than 12, 20, and finally 24 points last week. While that pattern should end this week in Carolina, it's unlikely that New Orleans is able to keep it much closer than their recent games. Getting only 5.5 points at home, look for the Panthers to dominate defensively and win this game by 10+ points.
