  • The Packers lost their third game in a row on Sunday, falling to the Ravens 41-24 at home.
  • Minnesota earned their fourth straight win, taking down the Lions 23-10 to climb to 8-8.
  • These two teams last faced off back in Week 12, in a matchup that the Packers won 23-6.

The Packers and Vikings face off this week in an NFC North rivalry bout. Green Bay is expected to rest their starters for this game, having already been locked into the #7 seed in the NFC playoffs.

Packers Expected to Rest Starters

The Packers came up short last week despite a sensational performance from backup QB Malik Willis. In Jordan Love's absence, Willis completed 18 of 21 passes for 288 yards and a touchdown. He also added 60 rushing yards and two TDs on the ground, showcasing his dual-threat ability. Locked into the 7-seed following the loss, Green Bay is expected to once again start Willis, with most starters sitting this one out.

Vikings Look to End Season on a High

Minnesota dealt with various injuries throughout the season, limiting their ability to make a postseason push. Still, after winning four in a row the Vikings now have a chance to end the season above .500. QB J.J. McCarthy has played exceptionally well since returning from injury, but his chemistry with underperforming WR Justin Jefferson continues to be an issue. The pair will look to find a connection in the season's last game.

Packers vs Vikings NFL Pick

The Packers are getting 7 points in this game, largely due to their intention to rest their starters. Coupled with their losing streak and Minnesota's win streak and it makes sense why Vegas is expecting the Vikings to win by two or more scores at home. That being said, I'd be wary of expecting them to cover. Malik Willis has been playing sensationally well and will likely do enough to keep things close enough for Green Bay to cover.
