After suffering a 42-26 setback against the Rams, San Francisco has reeled off five straight wins. The team's latest triumph includes a 48-27 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football.

The Niners offense was the major takeaway in this contest. Brock Purdy completed 25 of 34 passes for 295 yards and five touchdowns.
Christian McCaffrey accumulated 117 yards on 21 carries. George Kittle caught seven passes for 115 yards and a touchdown, helping the Niners produce 440 yards of total offense.
The victory snapped a five-game losing streak against Indy.
On the other side, Chicago comes into this matchup riding a two-game win streak, including a 22-16 overtime victory against the Green Bay Packers.

The Bears now have 6 wins this season after trailing in the final 2:00 of the 4th quarter, the most such wins in a season since the 1970 merger.
As was the case when these teams met two weeks ago, the Bears played poorly in the first half and trailed 6-0. Chicago was down 16-6 before Cairo Santos kicked a field goal to trim the deficit to 16-9 with 1:59 left in regulation.
Fortunately, the home team recovered the ensuing onside kick. Facing an all-out blitz on fourth down, Caleb Williams connected with Jahdae Walker for a six-yard touchdown, which sent the game into overtime.
After the Packers turned the ball over on the first possession of the extra frame, Chicago scored four plays later, as DJ Moore hauled in a beautifully thrown ball by Williams for the game-winning touchdown, sending the players and the fans into a wild frenzy.
The victory gives the Bears a 1-1/2 game lead in the divisional race, and they are now in the postseason for the first time since 2020.
Here's a look at what you need to know for both teams ahead of this Week 17 matchup.
The 49ers have won 13 of the previous 20 meetings in this series, and Chicago is just 2-5 in its last seven December outings. With that in mind, look for the Niners to win in a close one.
