  • The Commanders were fully embarrassed once again on Sunday, losing by a score of 31-0.
  • New York was on their bye last week, working on finding a way to salvage their 2-11 record.
  • These two teams last faced off way back in Week 1, in a game that the Commanders won 21-6.

The Commanders and Giants clash this week in a game between eliminated teams. At this point, the only thing up for grabs here is the draft order, but both teams will still aim to beat their rival.

Commanders in Total Free Fall

The Commanders are having a disastrous season this year. After going 12-5 last season, they have now fallen to 3-10 after a blowout loss to young QB J.J. McCarthy and the Vikings. Washington has largely struggled due to the absence of QB Jayden Daniels, who may return this week. That being said, they have also seen wholesale regression on both sides of the ball, raising major concerns about the team's future.

Giants Seek Win Over Rivals

The Giants hold a share of the NFL's worst record, putting them in a similar position as this time last year. The silver lining in New York is the emergence of rookie QB Jaxson Dart, who will likely benefit from a brand new coaching staff next season. Dart has played at a high level for a rookie, flashing shades of Josh Allen with his mobility and arm strength. He will look to continue improving against the Commanders.

Commanders vs Giants NFL Pick

The Commanders and Giants are both eliminated, making this game less important. That being said, the potential return of Jayden Daniels could set up a young QB showdown that is likely to exist in the NFC East for years to come. Washington won the opening matchup easily, but has been absolutely abysmal lately. With Dart and home-field advantage now in the mix, the Giants should manage to win this one.
