The Chargers and Chiefs meet this week in a divisional clash. Kansas City is in a rare position at 6-7, desperately needing a win in this game to stay alive in a very competitive AFC Wild Card race.

The Chargers won another key matchup on Monday night, climbing to 9-4 on the season. They've now won 5 of their last 6 games and are closing in on a playoff spot. Los Angeles remains two games out of first place in a competitive AFC West, but still has time to make a push for the division title. They will look to take advantage of the Chiefs' struggles and earn a season sweep over them for the first time since 2013.

The Chiefs are having an uncharacteristic season for the Patrick Mahomes era. They fell to 6-7 following Sunday's defeat, lowering their postseason chances to below 30%. Kansas City needs to finish 4-0 to have any realistic shot, putting on a lot of pressure as they face a rematch with a Chargers team that beat them once already this year. The offense will be under a microscope once again as they fight elimination.

The Chargers snapped a 7-game losing streak to the Chiefs back in Week 1, but have still gone 4-19 against them since 2013. Coupled with Kansas City's homefield advantage and desperation for a win in this game, and Los Angeles faces an uphill battle. That being said, they've been the better team for the entirety of this season. Even if the Chiefs snag the win, expect this game to stay within a field goal margin.
