Broncos Fighting for AFC's Top Spot
The Broncos hold the NFL's second longest winning streak of eight games. They sit at 9-2, a far contrast from their 1-2 start. Denver hasn't won the AFC West since 2015, when they last won the Super Bowl as well. They'll be aiming to keep their streak going not only to try and lock down the division title, but also in competition with the Patriots and Colts for the AFC's first round bye and overall home-field advantage.

Washington Desperate to End Skid
A 3-8 record is not at all what the Commanders had in mind for this season after going 12-5 last year. It's been a frustrating season for Washington, marred by mistakes and injuries. Starting QB Jayden Daniels is not expected to return from injury this week, keeping the Commanders in a difficult spot. They face an uphill offensive battle to compete with Denver's stringent defense without Daniels or WR Terry McLaurin.

Broncos vs Commanders NFL Pick
It's a bit surprising to see the spread at only 6 points here, despite Washington's home-field advantage. With Daniels not expected to return, it's hard to imagine the Commanders scoring more than 20 points against Denver's defense. I see the final score more along the lines of 24-13 in favor of the Broncos. They should be able to win this matchup on the road and cover the spread without facing too much issue.
