  • The Bills were on bye, after losing their last two games to the Falcons and Patriots.
  • Carolina took down the winless Jets without much issue, winning 13-6 on the road.
  • These two teams last met on December 19, 2021, in a game that the Bills won 31-14.

The Bills and Panthers meet in an interesting clash this week. Buffalo is rested but coming off of a pair of losses. They'll be seeking a bounce back win against a Panthers team that is heating up.

Bills on Bye After Pair of Losses

The Bills appeared to be running away with the AFC East after Week 5, but things have quickly changed. After losing two games they were expected to win, Buffalo now exits their bye in 2nd place in the division. They sit a half of a game back from the 5-2 Patriots, needing a win to halt their losing streak. Buffalo's offense is mostly to blame for their recent struggles. Look for Josh Allen to work his way out of his slump.

Panthers Aim to Build Momentum

Carolina surged to 4-3 following a defensive bout with the Jets. While 3rd-year QB Bryce Young continues to rank near the bottom of the league, he has finally begun to show signs of improvement. Most notably, he holds a 10-3 TD-INT ratio since Week 11, after starting his career with a much worse 27-21 TD-INT ratio. With the defense leading the way, the Panthers will aim to pull off another upset against the flailing Bills.

Bills vs Panthers NFL Pick

A few weeks ago, I wouldn't have been surprised to see the Panthers getting 7.5 points at home against the Bills. Now, however, and it's a surprisingly large spread. Buffalo is certainly the better team, but they haven't won a game since September, and hold their 4 wins over teams with a combined 3-24 record. Coupled with their 24-14 loss to the Falcons, who the Panthers beat 30-0, and this is a good spread to bet.
