49ers Aim to Keep Road Momentum

The 49ers improved to 4-1 on Thursday, and 3-0 on the road, in their 26-23 win over the Rams. San Francisco has managed to stay very competitive, despite injuries to starting QB Brock Purdy and backup Mac Jones. This week, Jones is expected to play through injury, giving the 49ers a chance at climbing to 5-1. Their defense will play a crucial role against a Tampa Bay offense that currently ranks 7th in the NFL.

The Buccaneers won a hard-fought game in Seattle on Sunday, improving to 4-1 overall. Seeking their 5th consecutive division title, Tampa Bay already holds a 1.5 game lead with a chance to add to here. The departure of offensive coordinator Liam Coen hasn't slowed down Baker Mayfield one bit. The Bucs QB holds a 104.4 passer rating with 10 TDs and just 1 INT through 5 games. He'll aim to keep it up this week.
