- Oklahoma was on their bye last week, after defeating #14 Tennessee, 33-27, in the week prior.
- Alabama had another strong defensive showing against LSU, beating them by a score of 20-9.
- These two teams last faced off back on November 23, 2024, in a game that Oklahoma won 24-3.
Oklahoma and Alabama face off this week in a key battle. The Crimson Tide are seeking to add to their 8-game winning streak, while Oklahoma will attempt to pull off a major upset on the road.

Oklahoma Seeking Signature Win
Oklahoma is 2-2 over the last four weeks and currently holds a 3-2 record in SEC play. With a tough schedule, however, the Sooners remain ranked just outside of the top-10. Some of their struggles were due to an injury to starting QB John Mateer, though they haven't fully bounced back since he returned. Both the offense and the equally inconsistent defense need to be at their best to take down Alabama.
Alabama Undefeated in SEC Play
The Crimson Tide have won eight games in a row since their opening week disappointment against Florida State and sit atop the SEC with a 6-0 conference record. A win this week would all but lock Alabama into the CFP and raise their chances of making the SEC title game to over 95%. QB Ty Simpson had a somewhat lukewarm performance last week, and will look to heat back up against Oklahoma.
#11 Oklahoma vs #4 Alabama NCAAF Pick
Oklahoma got the better of Alabama in last year's matchup, winning by three touchdowns. It's doubtful that a similar result occurs this year, especially with how red-hot the Crimson Tide have been. I'm not entirely sold on John Mateer's ability as a passer. While his dual threat ability is no question, it's possible he continues to struggle through the air against Alabama's defense. Take Bama to win and cover here.
