The Allstate Sugar Bowl at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans is hosting the CFP Quarterfinals between Ole Miss and Georgia. The winner of this intense match will head to the semifinals at the Fiesta Bowl a week later.

Ole Miss is riding a historic season so far with a 12-1 record and the 6th seed in the nation. They beat Tulane in the first round of the CFP while also achieving their first ever 11-win season in program history. This will be their 11th Sugar Bowl appearance, so they are basically veterans in this setting.
The Rebels have been in the news during the last month, as their current coach surprisingly signed a contract with LSU and quit the team mid-season. Many thought Ole Miss might crumble without their leader, however, they have shown to maintain their composure and continue their winning ways.
Georgia comes in at 12-1 for the season so far, while also becoming SEC champions along the way with a win over Alabama. The Bulldogs are wired in through their well-balanced offensive side, as well as a disciplined defensive squad.
This rivalry goes back to the 1940s, so there is definitely a rivalry brewing here, despite Georgia having much more success in recent years.
