The Mid-American Conference (MAC) is here with its championship game between the Miami (OH) RedHawks and the Western Michigan Broncos. The game will be played at Detroit’s famous Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions.

The Miami (OH) RedHawks are eager to claim their second MAC Championship in the last three years, cementing themselves as the more experienced team in this matchup. The RedHawks are on a two-game win streak, finishing the year 6–2 in conference and 7–5 overall. As you can see, they found success inside the MAC, but not as much outside of it.

Miami (OH) has a standout defense this season, ranking 28th in yards allowed and 41st in opponent points per game at 21.9. Adam Trick and Eli Blakey are the defensive anchors, leading the way in sacks and tackles.
Must be exciting times for the Western Michigan Broncos, as they get to strut their stuff on the same field as the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. This is a nice reward in itself, earning the right to play there by finishing with the best record in the Mid-American Conference.
The Broncos are riding a four-game winning streak and will be hoping to keep it going through the end of the season. This success is thanks to their strong rushing attack and a solid defense. They also rank 16th in the nation in opponent scoring, allowing just 18.7 points per game.
The game is predicted to be close, with Western Michigan favored by only -1.5 points. This should be a defensive battle, as we have a low over/under of 43.5, and the moneyline is -122 for the Broncos and +102 for the RedHawks.
Despite the RedHawks having more experience, we feel the Broncos have had the better season and will be excited to play at Ford Field. We recommend Western Michigan -1.5 as our pick for this game.
