The top two teams in the American Conference will battle it out when North Texas visits Tulane for the conference championship. The game will be played in New Orleans at Yulman Stadium, with a forecast calling for clouds and possible rain.

North Texas visits Tulane this weekend with a chance to crown themselves kings of the American Conference. They enter this game as favorites with a -3 spread, despite being the visiting team. The Mean Green are currently riding a six-game winning streak and a solid 7–1 AAC record.
North Texas’ biggest weapon is its offense, as the team is currently 1st in yards per game as well as points per game. Much of their success is thanks to Drew Mestemaker, their superstar QB, who has 219 TDs, 3,835 passing yards, and only 4 interceptions. Another high note is their RB, Caleb Hawkins, who has 23 touchdowns.
Tulane enters this conference championship game as a home underdog, mostly due to its high-powered offensive rival. The Green Wave, riding a four-game winning streak, will be looking for a little luck this weekend, hoping North Texas has an inefficient game.
Despite having a very successful record, Tulane has never really stood out on the team leaderboards in offense or defense. Nonetheless, they’ve sat around mid-table and been effective enough to stack wins throughout the season, proving that coaching strategy and tactics are critical in winning each battle.
The road to crowning the American Conference champs is finally here, and we’ll see who wants it more this weekend. North Texas, the favorite at -3 with an over/under of 66.5, will be looking to use all of its offensive firepower to finish Tulane off.
Our recommendation for this game is to bet on North Texas -3. There’s a reason why this team is so efficient on offense, and we don’t think Tulane can contain that in any way, shape, or form.
