We all love a good, old-fashioned rivalry, right? Well, we’re getting one this weekend when the Georgia Bulldogs visit the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, with the Bulldogs holding a historic 72–41–5 lead in the series across 118 total meetings.

Georgia comes into this game riding a seven-game winning streak and will look to remind its in-state rival who’s boss. So far, the Bulldogs have beaten top-caliber teams such as Ole Miss, Florida, Texas, and Tennessee. Both teams have had a successful campaign this year; however, the Bulldogs will be aiming to cement themselves as a true championship contender with a win here.
Much of Georgia’s success this season is thanks to Gunner Stockton, their star QB, who has 19 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. He’ll be looking to connect with his receiving options, especially Zachariah Branch, who has 63 catches and 3 touchdowns so far.
Georgia Tech Hunting a Season-Defining UpsetThe Yellow Jackets enter this game as a top-20 team, despite having lost to Pittsburgh in their last outing. Nonetheless, they are having a great season, sitting in a strong position in the ACC at 9–2 overall and 6–2 in conference play. They host the Bulldogs as big underdogs at +13.5, so a win here would be massive for the program.
Their dual-threat quarterback, Haynes King, will be looking to surprise the Bulldogs through the air and on the ground with his aggressive style of play. He already has 15 rushing touchdowns and 12 passing touchdowns, which is impressive production. The only downside is the team’s heavy dependence on him, so they’ll need him to have another big game to stay competitive.
