Duke Could Bring Chaos to ACC

Duke snuck into the ACC title game at 7-5, thanks to a 5-way tiebreaker for 2nd. The Blue Devils will likely not make the CFP at 8-5 if they win, which would represent a disaster scenario for the ACC. That being said, if James Madison and UNLV lose to Troy and Boise State, respectively, a path could open for an ACC champion Duke. They need to focus on finding a way to beat a Virginia team they lost to a few weeks ago.

Virginia Aims for 1st ACC Title in 30 Years

All eyes will be on Virginia as they fight to save the ACC from CFP elimination. They'll also be seeking their first conference title in three decades, as well as their first CFP appearance. Not many had the Cavaliers pegged as CFP contenders to start the season, but they made quick work of their ACC schedule to claim the top spot. 6th-year Senior QB Chandler Morris will look to cap off a great final season with an ACC title.

Duke vs #17 Virginia NCAAF Pick

This might the most intriguing conference championship game in terms of CFP implications, with the possibility of the ACC missing out entirely all of a sudden feeling strikingly high. Neither of these teams are overly impressive in terms of metrics and will likely face a blowout loss should they make the CFP. Keep an eye on the officiating to possibly benefit Virginia here as the NCAA tries to avoid two G5 bids.
