One of the first bowl games of the season is here, with Boise State and Washington facing off in the LA Bowl. These teams have played each other six times, with the Huskies leading the series 4–2. The game will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and can be viewed on ABC at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Boise State Broncos are coming off a third straight Mountain West Championship after their win against UNLV. They’ll be looking to take on a team they haven’t faced much in the past, and they’ll be eager to show the Huskies who’s who. A win in this bowl game would give them their fourth straight victory.
Maddux Madsen, their QB, has had a great season so far with 2,283 passing yards and 18 touchdowns. He threw 3 TDs in his last game, which pretty much cemented him as the player of the match.
Sadly, Washington ended its regular season with a loss against Oregon. However, they still have a chance at success with a win against the Broncos to claim the LA Bowl. Historically, they have beaten Boise State four times and only lost twice. They are favorites in this game with a -9.5 spread.
Jonan Coleman has been great for them this year as their starting running back. He has 14 rushing touchdowns on 144 carries. Another strong point for this team is wide receiver Denzel Washington, who has 10 receiving touchdowns on 56 catches.
On paper, this game looks like a potential thrashing, with Washington favored by -9.5 on the spread. The over/under is 52.5, and the moneylines are -360 for the Huskies and +285 for the Broncos.
Our pick is Boise State +9.5 to cover the spread this weekend. We feel that Boise State has what it takes not only to cover, but maybe even to win the LA Bowl outright.
