The BYU Cougars will be hosting the Texas Tech Red Raiders in what promises to be a close match between two Big 12 teams currently ranked in the Top 10. This will be the second time these teams meet, giving BYU the slight edge from their previous game. The game will be played at the Jones AT&T Stadium.

BYU has been extremely impressive this season so far, holding an undefeated 8-0 record along the way. They are coming off a rest week (BYE) so they should be rested for one of their biggest tests so far, the Texas Tech Red Raiders. BYU is a large underdog for this game at -10 on the points spread.
The Cougars have beaten the likes of Utah, Colorado, Arizona, so far this season, so Texas Tech will be their biggest and highest-ranking test so far. In order to contain Texas Tech, they'll need to handle their offense through a disciplined and aggressive defensive scheme. They won't be able to prevent scoring from the Rebels but hopefully contain them enough.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders are currently 2nd in the Big 12 standings, right behind their rivals this weekend, the BYU Cougars. With a win against them, they'll leapfrog the Cougars and lead the Big 12 at the top.
Their QB Behren Morton has been a force so far with 1,750 Passing Yards, 15 TDs and only 4 INTs. Through the ground, they count on their RB Cameron Dickey, who also has been great with 746 Rushing Yards and 10 TDs so far. Count on both of them to provide a 1-2 punch to BYU.
It seems this game is destined to go Texas Tech's way, as they are better equipped to get the win this weekend. The question is, can they cover the spread or not? The Red Raiders are currently favored at -10.5, with a 52.5 over/under.
Our pick for this game is to go for Texas Tech to win. However, we prefer Texas Tech on the money line at -340. BYU is undefeated for a reason, so they might be motivated to show the nation why they are ranked #8 in the nation.
