Oklahoma Sooners come into this matchup ranked #6 in the nation, led by their QB John Mateer (who might not play). They travel to Austin to face Texas in what's known as the Red River showdown, with a 3-2 Texas team who needs a victory following their defeat against Florida.

The Sooners look to continue their perfect season and remain undefeated for as long as possible. However, the Red River Showdown always promises a tight match between a heated rivalry. The game is set to be a close game with a 1.5 point spread favoring Oklahoma.
The Sooners have a predicament on their hands, as their starting QA is questionable with a right-hand injury. Last game, the Sooners used their backup QB, Micheal Hawkins Jr, which really stood out with 167 passing yards and 3 TDs. So, Oklahoma might be in good hands either way.
Texas needs to establish themselves as a serious contending team, and a 3-2 record so far doesn't mean much. This is their perfect opportunity to make a statement win with a victory against their rivals Oklahoma. They'll be looking to defend their home turf in the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas, Texas.
Arch Manning hasn't yet lived up to his potential and expectancies, so he'll need to have a perfect game. Despite the fact that Texas is currently known for their defense, Manning needs to focus on not throwing more interceptions.
The spread is a -1.5 with a over/under of 44.5, so we can expect a low scoring tight matchup. The money line is -113 for Oklahoma, so it's very close to being a pick'em game.
For this game we predict an Oklahoma win to maintain their status of undefeated and increase Texas' woes. The Red River Rivalry will promise an intense game which can go either way, but we'll take the Sooners on this one.
