UConn and Michigan face off in what will be a thrilling National Championship Game. The Wolverines are favored by nearly 7 points after blowing out Arizona, but now face an experienced UConn squad.

After winning back-to-back Championships in 2023 and 2024, the Huskies are back in the Title Game in 2026. They will seek a third trophy in four years, a feat almost unprecedented in men's college basketball. Despite their recent success, UConn enters this game as a notable underdog against an absurdly strong Michigan team. They'll need their 8th-ranked defense to carry the weight as their 26th-ranked offense faces Michigan.

The Wolverines enter the title game fresh off a stunning blowout over Arizona. The 18-point victory against a fellow 1-seed vaulted Michigan into the highest KenPom rating in college basketball history. Still, last season's Duke failed to win it all with a similar rating, so the Wolverines aren't a lock against a well-coached and battle tested UConn. If they manage to bring the same energy as the Arizona game, they should be in good shape.
The Big-10 hasn't won the NCAA Tournament in 26 years, dating all the way back to Michigan State in 2000. The NIL era has provided a boost to breaking that streak, but the conference has continued to come up short. This year's Michigan team has been beyond impressive since the season started in November, providing their best chance to end the skid. UConn is good enough to play spoiler, but this Michigan team is just too much.
