Texas and South Carolina face off this week for the second time this season. The Longhorns won the first matchup in November by two points, but face an even tougher battle in this game on the road.

Texas had their 18-0 undefeated record broken by LSU on Sunday in a tough 5-point loss. The Longhorns trailed for most of the game and couldn't do enough late in the 4th to close the gap. Madison Booker shot effectively (10-16) and led the way on offense with 24 points, but she wasn't at her best. Her team-high 6 turnovers and 4 personal fouls had a negative impact on the overall result. She'll look to bounce back here.
South Carolina enters this game at 17-1, with their sole loss coming against Texas back in November. They lost by just two points on the road, giving them a strong chance at evening the season series in this rematch on their home court. The Gamecocks have won ten games in a row since then, averaging 90 points per game in that span. Joyce Edwards has been one of the nation's top scorers and will lead the way again in the rematch.
Home-court advantage is pretty notable in college basketball, giving a major advantage to South Carolina in this matchup. After falling just short against the Longhorns in November, the Gamecocks shouldn't have much trouble winning at home. Look for their offense to be more consistent this time in a huge top-5 win.
