- Texas earned a key victory last week against #15 Ole Miss, defeating them 67-64.
- LSU lost their second game in a row on Sunday, falling 65-61 to unbeaten Vandy.
- These two teams last faced off back on March 8, in a game that Texas won 56-49.
Texas and LSU clash this week in a meeting of SEC giants. The Tigers have slid since losing their last two games, and will aim to stop the bleeding against an undefeated Texas team that looms large.

Texas Faces Challenge to Unbeaten Record
Texas improved to 18-0 on Thursday, currently sitting as one of the last four undefeated teams in women's college basketball. The Longhorns already have half a dozen ranked wins under their belts, but they enter the weekend with two more on the road, against #12 LSU and #3 South Carolina. On offense, Madison Booker continues to impress each game, while teammate Rori Harmon provides an irreplaceable defensive presence.
LSU Hoping to Bounce Back in Key Game
LSU snapped their two-game losing streak against Georgia, but remains at 0-2 against ranked teams on the year. With this game against Texas and a bout with #5 Oklahoma on deck, the Tigers need to find an extra gear to earn ranked win or two. Kim Mulkey's team has struggled in the NCAA Tournament in past years due to a lighter schedule, so they need to take full advantage of this game. MiLaysia Fulwiley will lead the way.
#2 Texas vs #12 LSU NCAAW Pick
Aside from #1 UConn, no team has look as impressive as Texas has this season. They will certainly be challenged on the road against LSU, but they remain with a notable advantage. The Tigers have yet to prove their mettle against a ranked team, so don't risk taking them to take down #2 Texas. The Longhorns should win this one without much trouble. I project a score of 67-53 Texas here as they clamp down defensively.
