South Carolina and LSU face off in an SEC rivalry bout on Saturday. LSU hasn't been able to get the best of South Carolina lately, but they have home-court advantage in this one, giving them a chance.

South Carolina improved to 24-2 following their blowout win over Tennessee. The Gamecocks are title contenders each season, with this year being no different. Boasting a balanced offense and defense and a hyper-talented roster, South Carolina is well on pace for a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament. They face one of their toughest tests of the season here at #6 LSU. Top-scorer Joyce Edwards will continue to lead the way.
LSU bounced back from the loss to Texas with a blowout win over Auburn. The Tigers currently sit in 5th place in the SEC, but #6 in the overall rankings. A win over South Carolina would help boost both as well as their chances of earning a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament. Projected top-5 pick Flau'jae Johnson leads the way on offense. She is aided by former Gamecock MiLaysia Fulwiley, who will look to excel against her former team.
South Carolina and LSU meet in an SEC clash on Saturday night. Both are locks to make the tournament, but a victory in this game will due wonders for the winner's seeding. The Tigers have been unable to get the best of the Gamecocks in this rivalry, losing sixteen consecutive matchups dating back to 2013. Despite their home-court advantage, the Tigers are likely to be outmatched once again, losing the seventeenth in a row.
