In a dogfight versus Syracuse on Saturday, with their season on the line, a last-second drive from Nojus Indrusaitis was goaltended and led to them making the tournament. Can Pitt get hot at the right time and carry this momentum into a NCAA birth.
Stanford is 20-11 overall, 9-9 in the ACC, and the 10th seed in the tournament. They are in serious bubble territory, and an autobid isn't necessary for the Cardinals, but a deep tournament run is a must for them to go dancing.
You can not speak about Stanford without talking about freshman star Ebuka Okorie. He is fifth in the nation in scoring at 23.1 points a game. If it were not for the outstanding play of Cameron Boozer, he would be the clear ACC rookie of the year. Okorie went for 34 the last time Stanford played Pitt; will he have another explosive performance?
