Michigan and Iowa face off this weekend in a key Big-10 matchup. The Wolverines have been on the rise lately and are closing in on a 1-seed. They'll need to overcome the Hawkeyes on the road first.

Michigan rose to #6 in the top-10 following a rivalry win over Michigan State. They are on pace to receive a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament, with enough key matchups remaining to make the leap to the 1-seed line. To start, the Wolverines will need to win this game on the road against #13 Iowa. Leading-scorer Olivia Olson has been on an absolute tear lately, averaging 22.7 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 3.6 apg, and 2.1 spg across her last seven games.

Iowa bounced back from a 3-game losing streak by winning their last three games, most recently a pair on the road against Nebraska and Purdue. The competition gets much tougher on Sunday as the Hawkeyes get set to host #6 Michigan back on their home court. Iowa's defense has been very solid lately after being a weak point during their losing streak. They will put that to the test as a key factor in their chances of winning.
This Michigan vs Iowa game is sure to be a good one, with major stakes in a tight Big-10 conference race on the line. The Hawkeyes should benefit from their home-court advantage, but it's unlikely to be enough to defeat a Michigan team that has been playing at a level higher as of late. Expect the Wolverines to pull away.
