Michigan State and Michigan clash for the second time this month in a key ranked rivalry bout. The Wolverines won the first matchup on the road, setting them up for success in the rematch at home.

The Spartans continued to struggle this week, losing by 23 points to UCLA. They've now lost 3 of their last 4 games and dropped to 20-5 on the season. Sitting in 6th place in the Big-10, Michigan State is hoping to stop the bleeding before the Big-10 tournament next month. Unfortunately, they face an uphill battle in this game against their rivals. In order to topple #7 Michigan on the road, the Spartans will need to be at their very best.
Michigan may have come up just short against UCLA on Sunday, but they've played impressive basketball as of late. Just two weeks after defeating Michigan State on the road, the Wolverines will be aiming for the season sweep back on their home court. Michigan's defense has been especially dominant lately. They only allowed more than 72 points one time since the calendar turned to 2026, in the game against Michigan State.
An in-state rivalry between top-15 Big-10 teams takes place in this game. Both teams are locks to make the tournament, but the winner will get a leg up in the conference standings. After beating Michigan State in East Lansing just a couple of weeks ago, Michigan is a clear favorite to win the rematch in Ann Arbor. It likely won't be a blowout, but expect the Wolverines to win by an even greater margin than their first matchup.
