Maryland and UCLA face off this weekend in a key Big-10 battle. The Bruins will aim to keep rolling at home against the #12 Terrapins. Maryland faces an uphill battle to pull off the road upset in this one.

Maryland managed a low-scoring road victory against USC to bounce back from their previous loss against Ohio State. Their defense was impressive in the win, allowing the Trojans to shoot just 28% from the field and 16% from 3-pt range. The Terps need their defense to be humming once again to have a chance of keeping up with a hyper-talented UCLA team. It will also need to be another all-around effort by their balanced offense.
UCLA has gotten into an excellent rhythm during their current 10-game winning streak. They have excelled on both sides of the ball, led by soon-to-be 1st round draft picks Lauren Betts and Kiki Rice. Washington State transfer Charlisse Leger-Walker also projects as a 1st round pick in many mock drafts. She's helped Betts and Rice to emerge as two of the nation's most efficient scores, dishing out over 6 assists per game on the season.
UCLA has been absolutely dominant lately and it's become hard to imagine a team not named UConn or South Carolina beating them. While Maryland is certainly a strong squad and eventual tournament team, they'll be playing out of their depth against the Bruins on the road. Take UCLA to win it by a solid margin.
