Hoyas To Capitalize on DePaul's Defense

The historic Hoyas are having one of those seasons where nothing seems to click. The only realistic way for them to reach the NCAA Tournament and keep any March Madness hopes alive is by winning the Big East Tournament and securing the automatic bid.

Their March Madness odds are basically nonexistent, but they still need to get past DePaul. Georgetown will need strong performances from Jayden Epps and Dontrez Styles if it wants to cover the spread.

DePaul Desperate to End Losing Streak

If you thought Georgetown was having a bad season, DePaul is having a similar scenario. The Blue Demons finished the season 16-15, with an 8-12 record against Big East opponents. Again, their only path to having any March Madness hopes is by winning the conference tournament and securing an automatic bid.

DePaul enters this game as a slight favorite, so it will need to take advantage of its strengths to overcome the Hoyas. Those strengths include offensive rebounding, blocks per game, and a decent free-throw percentage. Because of that, expect DePaul to attack the glass, look for second-chance opportunities, and get to the free-throw line.

Georgetown versus DePaul NCAAB Pick

Surprisingly enough, the Blue Demons are favorites at -1.5 against the Hoyas. The over/under is 138.5, and the Moneyline sits at -115 for DePaul and -105 for Georgetown.

We are going to put our money on Georgetown as the slight underdog at +1.5 to move on to the next round. DePaul has had a mediocre season and has a losing record against Big East rivals this year.
