We have a Big East Conference Quarterfinal matchup between the Creighton Bluejays and the Seton Hall Pirates at Madison Square Garden. Both teams have solid chances to improve their March Madness odds, as a win here would strengthen their tournament hopes.

The Creighton Bluejays has had a mediocre season so far and will need to make a run in the tournament if they want to improve their March Madness odds. They enter the game as slight underdogs and will need their offense to get the job done.

The team’s top scorer is Josh Dix, averaging 12.7 PPG while shooting 43% from the field. The Bluejays will need to perform better offensively and shoot higher than their current 45% team field goal percentage if they want to win. Nik Graves, their primary playmaker, will also need to step up.
Seton Hall ended the regular season with a respectable 20-11 overall record, but a mediocre 10-10 mark in conference play. The Pirates have better March Madness odds than their rivals, but they still need to advance to the next round. They started the season 11-1 but began to decline as the season went on.
Adam Clark is usually their first option on offense, but defense is where they truly shine. Seton Hall currently ranks 8th in points allowed, giving up just 65.1 PPG. Much of that is thanks to Najai Hines protecting the paint and Clark defending the perimeter.
The game is expected to be intense, as the Pirates are favored by just -2.5 on the spread. The over/under is 133.5, with the moneyline set at -155 for Seton Hall and +130 for Creighton.
We feel that the lack of offensive options for the Bluejays will not be enough to overcome the Pirates’ defense. Our take favors the Seton Hall Pirates -2.5.
