VCU is 27-7 overall and the 11th seed in the South Region. They were on the bubble before winning the A-10 title, but don't let the seed fool you. They've won 16 of their last 17 coming into the matchup.

VCU is a unique team, and its best player doesn't even start. Terrence Hill Jr. leads the team at roughly 14.4 ppg. The A-10 Tournament MVP, Sixth Man of the Year, and Most Improved Player is a bucket to say the least. Can he lead the Rams on another historic run?
UNC is a program with 134 NCAA Tournament wins and 21 Final Four appearances, but right now, they're limping in.
They have lost two straight, and their freshman sensation, Caleb Wilson, is out for the tournament. The Heels will need to look for other players to step up, like Henri Veesaar and Seth Trimble. Carolina is favored, but will have a test with VCU.
VCU vs North Carolina is not as straightforward as you would expect. The 11/6 matchup is always a toss-up and is known for upsets. VCU is a legit team with high-major athletes. We think that they make this a close game, and likely end up winning. Our pick is VCU (+2.5).
