This game was out of hand early. Washington trailed by 20 points after the opening quarter and never recovered. The home team did put up 61 points after the break, but the outcome was never in doubt.
Julian Reese tied for team-high scoring honors with 17 points. He also collected 11 rebounds. Sharife Cooper led the second unit with 17 points, connecting on six of his 10 shot attempts.
Chicago looks to extend its win streak to two games
The Bulls were in the midst of another tough stretch, having dropped seven straight. But that streak ended with an emphatic win against Washington.
The Bulls raced out to a 29-point lead at the break and extended their advantage to 37 points at the end of the third quarter en route to a dominant victory.
Six players reached double figures for Chicago. Rob Dillingham scored a career-high 26 points, along with seven rebounds and two assists. He shot 9-for-15 overall and 5-for-8 from long range. Tre Jones added 20 points and nine assists for a Bulls team that fired its top two basketball executives earlier this week.
