The Thunder trailed 101-99 and had a chance to potentially tie the game after Toronto's Jamal Shead missed two free throws. Unfortunately, the Raptors controlled the rebound, and Immanuel Quickley knocked down a pair of crucial free throws to help Toronto come away with the victory.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up a team-high 24 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field. He also handed out six assists and collected three rebounds. Lu Dort contributed 19 points and eight rebounds, connecting on four of his eight attempts from downtown.
New Orleans hopes to extend its win streak to three games
Following three consecutive losses, the Pelicans have responded with three straight wins. This stretch includes a 104-95 win against the San Antonio Spurs.
New Orleans led by as many as 20 points in the second half. But a 24-5 run by the Spurs to start the fourth quarter erased the double-digit advantage. Fortunately, the Pelicans rose to the occasion, closing the game on a 17-3 burst to secure their 12th victory of the season.
Zion Williamson and Saddiq Bey finished with identical stat lines that consisted of 24 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. Trey Murphy III registered 17 points, 9 assists, and six rebounds.
